Steve Hockstein
Still at the tender age of 14, Steve began his high school years shooting professionally for the Pennysaver/Community News in his home town of Parsippany, NJ. He continued shooting professionally for a variety of publications while studying Studio, Narrative and Documentary photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Upon earning his BFA, he returned to New Jersey and took a staff position at The Star-Ledger of Newark and then The Record of Hackensack where he met and married his remarkably lovely wife, Karen. Moving on to the freelance world in 1993, Steve's work continues to appear in distinguished publications around the world to this day.

A nicely composed, intimate photograph of your beautiful granddaughter. Blow it up big and put a frame on it.

I nice photograph of a very cute child which, in my opinion, would benefit from a little better composition, cropping and color correction.

Nice photo, but would improve dramatically with a slightly more thoughtful composition and minor application of software techniques.

Here's a nice, quiet photo of a pair of sneakers. It's nicely composed and decently lit, but seems to be lacking a little something to draw the viewer in. Whether i...
