And I love the lighting on her face. It does have an old Europe kind of feel Composition & Perspective:7 I think a darker or less light on the background would draw more attention to the face more and resemble a period portrait. I also think the composition could be a little tighter. I would crop from the top bottom and left side. Give more focus to the face. Focus:9 Focus is right on. Use of camera, exposure & speed:8 The combination of camera, exposure and speed work out nicely. Color & Lighting:8 The color is muted which I like because it gives a European feel. Lighting is simple which reminds me of some European paintings. Depth of field:6 Depth of Field is fine. I would have also tried a f4 and f2.8. General impression:8 Overall, I think you've got the feel you were going for. Good job. How to improve your photo1. I think you have the feel you were going for, but I would have chosen a different darker background and darkened beneath her collar on her coat. Like the collar if I didn't know it was attached to a coat. 2. Also, if you know of a stylist who would like to exchange photos for services, I think that always helps to make a more fashionable photograph. If that was what you were going for. 3. Overall, I think you're in the right direction. Keep Shooting! Get feedback on your photos from Pro Barry Muniz | ||
