hard to tell from this image a little smaller aperture would have improved sharpness

would have liked to see either a shallower depth of field or a much greater one being tried. Also flash is a little harsh in foreground

Use a softer flash or a diffuser

get a couple of inches lower for abetter perspective

stop down more to get the older child sharper

becareful of shadows and distractions behind and between the subject
