I thought this photo would be an interesting shot- It is of a little statue that was set in a tree and the tree completely engulfed most of the statue, all exept the head.

The subject of the image is a bit small, it is kind of overwhelmed by the rest of the image.

I feel like the subject could fill more of the frame, and be off center a bit more.

The subject is tack sharp, and the blurring around the edges does a lot to bring your attention to the subject.

Good use of available light. The monotone color adds to the subject and the overall feel of the image.

Overall, I feel the image is lacking in draw - the concept is interesting, but there isn't enough going on in the photograph to really interest me. That said, overall it is a good solid image, showing great contrast and texture.
How to improve your photo
1.
Crop in closer - make the subject fill the majority of the frame. You don't need as much of the tree, it detracts from the subject.
2.
Adding a splash of color near the statue would make the image much more visually appealing.
3.
Try various angles, lower and further to the side, or get above it and use the trunk of the tree to draw your eye down to the statue.
