The leaf. Super clear and yet not boring.

Extremely pleasing composition. Positive motion, great detail at many different scales, it works so nicely.

No issues, it works. The shadow detail is perfect, as is the whites. Very nice exposure.

Color - wow, what beautiful contrast! Lighting is just right to define all of the texture. Shadow is playing a huge role in this image, passively.
Depth of field:

This is a very flat image, and as such, lacks DOF. However, it works perfectly well this way.
General impression:

LOVE it. Really. Beautiful, stark contrast, lovely color harmony. Interesting composition. Wonderful texture that can be explored at length. I would hang this on my wall and enjoy it. Even plan a room around it's colors. The title tells the story, strongly supported by the image. Bravo, my fav thus far.
How to improve your photo
1.
The bottom left solo tendril could be removed and the image would be a bit stronger for it.
2.
Again, this image would be lovely as part of a series of several like images.
3.
It looks like there might be a tad bit of blown highlights on the leaf, If so, bringing some of that detail back would help.
