i just wanted to photograph loneliness. photos like a street, an underpass, people not looking at you, not looking at each other, doing nothing. an emptiness first, then a still object (phone) and people on the far end.
Photo Critique SummarySubject of photo 4 Composition & Perspective 7 Focus 4 Use of camera, exposure & speed 3 Color & Lighting 8 Depth of field 4 General impression 4 Overall Rating 4.9 GuruShots ProSubject of photo:4 I see where you were going but don't think it quite works for the intended purpose Composition & Perspective:7 You have good perspective but the composition is lacking somewhat. Focus:4 The focus falls off quite rapidly in the distance, Possible increasing your Asa or ISO and using a smaller aperture would help this. Use of camera, exposure & speed:3 As above a better use of aperture would have done a better job of getting to where you wanted with this photo. By increasing the ISO to 800 you would have been able to shoot at probably f11 or so and had perfect depth of field, even on program. Color & Lighting:8 It seems a little dark or "Gray" all over, may be the cameras fault if taken on auto. Depth of field:4 As I mentioned you could have for seen this problem and corrected it before exposure. General impression:4 I don't think it quite works, I would look for more opportunities with the info in this critique in hand and see what happens. How to improve your photo1. I understand what you were trying to convey however if you look closely at the center figure, he gets lost in the background and becomes meaningless to the overall point of the photo. 2. Try upping the levels in your editing program to let more light in. 3. Good, no, remarkable photographs are "Made" not "Taken" Keep looking for this type if scene...think about how you want it to look and wait for the "Decisive moment" and go for it...may take a series of shots before you get what you want.
