Dongchuan Red Land in Yunnan, China is famous for its red and amber coloured soil. I was fortunate to capture this dramatic view of the sun rays hitting the terraced plantation.

good composition using the three thirds rule, I would maybe have given a little more space at the third below (the fields)

perfect, I like the fact I am able to see the details in the shadows and in the hilights as well

it's hard to understand on a low res, but maybe it loses a bit of focus in the background, this kind of image nedds to to be super crispy, I would have used a pretty much closed aperture
General impression:

This one looks to me as a great landscape shot.
How to improve your photo
1.
Always try to use a tripod when shooting landscapes
2.
forget the speed and use a closed aperture, usually one stop less than the closest one to avoid diffraction.
3.
don't rush when such a phenomena shows up and dedicate any single moment possible to the cure of composition
