A friend of mine asked me take some shots of him with his guitar. I wanted to focus the attention on his request. He also was taking pictures for his wife, so the wedding ring being visible, I thought was a nice touch.
Photo Critique SummarySubject of photo 5 Composition & Perspective 9 Focus 9 Use of camera, exposure & speed 10 Color & Lighting 9 Depth of field 10 General impression 9 Overall Rating 8.7 GuruShots ProSubject of photo:5 This is an average subject for a photo but it is done very well. See below. Composition & Perspective:9 With the exception of three issues this is exceptionally well composed. Next time watch out for the tangents near the seam of the jeans and the subjects fingertips. I am being very, very picky here. Also next time be aware of how the fingers of the far hand are placed. Try to show more fingers too so you have the option of the two.
Lastly the end of the shirt is a bit of a distraction but perhaps this is a more personal bias than a real issue in this photo.
This is a very strong photo. Congratulations! Focus:9 Well done. Use of camera, exposure & speed:10 No complaints Color & Lighting:9 For me the lighting is a bit flat and lacks a strong angle to the subject, especially for a toned (B Depth of field:10 Correct from my point of view. General impression:9 As I said a very strong photo. How to improve your photo1. Work on tangents 2. Work on using a more dramatic light and lighting angle Get feedback on your photos from Pro Michael E. Stern | ||
