Photo Critique SummarySubject of photo 10 Composition & Perspective 10 Focus 10 Use of camera, exposure & speed 10 Color & Lighting 10 Depth of field 10 General impression 10 Overall Rating 10.0 GuruShots ProSubject of photo:10 Another of your beautiful portraits. I hope you do many many mo0re of these as there are so many subjects there for you to shoot. Composition & Perspective:10 The frame is filled very nicely and the slight telephoto flattens the subject just enough Focus:10 Perfect. I can see the eyes (ALWAYS the eyes) are in focus as well as the beard on the same plane as them. The eye on the right looks a tad soft but the beard does not, could just be the photo here. Use of camera, exposure & speed:10 The shutter speed looks a little slow but your gamble seems to have paid off must be a VR lens, but in the future don't always depend on that, use as mush shutter speed as you can get away with. Color & Lighting:10 The lighting is to die for....It is absolutely luminous and beautiful. The shadows are not blocked up and the hilites are right on. Depth of field:10 It looks like f18 at 147mm gave you the DOF you were working for and it looks fine here. General impression:10 I absolutely love this and you should be very proud of it joining your collection. How to improve your photo1. At first look, I thought about cropping the hand on the guitar out but then looked more and thought it really "Belongs" there, the guitar would otherwise have no visible means of support, so to speak! 2. Ana, I am supposed to give you 3 or more ways to improve your photo but for the life of me cannot see any fault with it. 3. Keep it up, you are evolving into a world class photographer!
